Abstract
This festschrift in honour of Professor Elwan's 90th birthday addresses both academics and legal practitioners. The volume reflects the jubilarian's impressive work in and for the legal scholarship at the Institute for Comparative and International Private and Commercial Law (University of Heidelberg, Germany) as well as the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and Public Law and International Law. Among the contributors are his former students and colleagues in Germany and abroad. They are all driven by a passion for legal issues, which Professor Elwan has been working on for decades in an outstanding manner. Accordingly, the book covers numerous aspects of his œuvre.
