implementation of foreign law instruments from Anglo-American law in
the Czech and Slovak legal system. The practitioners in the Czech and
Slovak Republic have accepted the idea of mediation as a part of civil
law procedure without analyzing or studying the real nature of this
method or instrument. The study is looking into the problematic
aspects of the mediation model and law in the Czech and Slovak legal
system, comparing the situation in these EU member states. It is also
trying to outline the ideal way for the further development of
mediation.},
