Zusammenfassung
Der Band enthält 17 Beiträge zu Homer und zur Homerrezeption, zur griechischen und römischen Tragödie und zum Satyrspiel. Diskutiert werden die kunstvolle Gestaltung der Irrfahrten des Odysseus und die Rezeption der beiden homerischen Epen in Antike und Moderne, grundsätzliche Fragen zur griechischen Tragödie wie Katharsis, Charakter und Charakterisierung oder ihre gesellschaftspolitische Bedeutung und verschiedene Aspekte des Satyrspiels wie die mythischen Stoffe der leider fast völlig verloren gegangenen Gattung oder die Gestaltung des Satyrchors und die Form und Bedeutung seiner Tänze.
