Zusammenfassung
Die Metropolregion Nürnberg ist eine der leistungsstärksten Wirtschaftsregionen Europas. Mehrere namhafte multinationale Unternehmen wie Adidas, Puma, Schaeffler und Siemens sowie viele beeindruckende Familienunternehmen und Hidden Champions haben hier ihren Hauptsitz. Dieser Band enthält 18 Fallstudien von Unternehmen und ihren internationalen Aktivitäten - von frühen Internationalisierungsstrategien im Mittelalter bis zu den Folgen der COVID-19-Pandemie und des russischen Krieges gegen die Ukraine auf die aktuelle Geschäftstätigkeit. Die Fallstudien decken ein umfangreiches Themenspektrum ab, von Markteintrittsstrategien über Marketingaktivitäten und Personalmanagement bis hin zur gesellschaftlichen Verantwortung von Unternehmen.
Abstract
The Nürnberg Metropolitan Region is one of the most powerful economic regions in Europe. Several large and renowned multinational corporations, as well as many impressive familyowned firms and hidden champions, have their headquarters here. This volume contains 18 case studies of companies based in this region and their international operations. The scope extends from the early internationalization strategies of the Tucher in the Middle Ages to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian war against Ukraine on current business activities. The case studies cover an extensive range of industries, from high-tech and industrial sectors to service providers, non-profit organizations and university spin-offs.
