Abstract
Die vorliegende Studie befasst sich mit einem politisch wichtigen und Thema: der Rolle von Sozialkapital für Verstöße gegen Europäisches Recht. Die zentrale Forschungsfrage lautet, welche Relevanz das Sozialkapital für die Einhaltung des europäischen Gemeinschaftsrechts von Staaten hat, beziehungsweise wie Sozialkapital das Regelverhalten von Mitgliedstaaten beeinflusst. Ziel ist es zu untersuchen, ob sich die Effekte des Sozialkapitals auf das nichtregelkonforme Verhalten von Staaten sich sowohl in quantitativen als auch in qualitativen Analysen empirisch nachweisen lassen.
Die Autorin schließt eine Forschungslücke, indem sie den Fokus auf die Analyse des Sozialkapitals legt und somit das Verhalten nichtstaatlicher Akteure in den Vordergrund bei der Erklärung von staatlichen Regelverletzungen setzt. Der besondere Mehrwert für die Forschung liegt im innovativen Erklärungsansatz, der systematisch das Sozialkapitalkonzept in die Compliance-Forschung integriert. Die Arbeit verbindet theoretisch und empirisch kausal die Rolle nichtstaatlicher Akteure, das Sozialkapital und Regelverletzungen miteinander.
Zusammenfassung
