Aufgaben und Perspektiven der Europäischen Allianz für Familien
Zusammenfassung
Bei unterschiedlichen Ausgangslagen und Traditionen verbindet die Mitgliedstaaten der Europäischen Union ein gemeinsames Ziel: Familie und Beruf sollen miteinander vereinbar sein. Die deutsche Bundesregierung hat während ihrer Ratspräsidentschaft im ersten Halbjahr 2007 die Europäische Allianz für Familien ins Leben gerufen – als Forum des Dialogs über erfolgreiche Ansätze und innovative Strategien der Familienpolitik in Europa.
In diesem Band gestalten Autorinnen und Autoren aus zahlreichen EU-Ländern mit ihren spezifischen Erfahrungen und Vorstellungen von Familie und Gesellschaft, mit verschiedenen volkswirtschaftlichen und historischen Hintergründen den europäischen Dialog über Familienpolitik mit. Neben der Frage des demografischen Gleichgewichts stehen dabei Bildung, frühkindliche Förderung und die Gleichstellung der Geschlechter im Zentrum.
