Theorieentwicklung von Pflegebedürftigkeit
Ein facettentheoretischer Ansatz
Zusammenfassung
Pflegebedürftigkeit gilt zwar als Fachbegriff und wird in pflegepraktischen und pflegewissenschaftlichen Kontexten verwendet, eine Theorie, die das Phänomen wissenschaftlich fundiert erklären und vorhersagen könnte, fehlt jedoch. Die Gleichsetzung von Pflegebedürftigkeit mit ihren Symptomen verkürzt oder verkennt den Aufforderungscharakter einer Pflegesituation. In der vorliegenden Arbeit geht es um die Grundlagenforschung zur Pflegebedürftigkeit. Unter Einsatz der Facettentheorie und der Multidimensionalen Skalierung wird eine Strukturhypothese entworfen, die auf der Expertise von Pflegekräften und auf Theorien aus verschiedenen Disziplinen basiert. So entstehen belastbare Ergebnisse für die Theorieentwicklung von Pflegebedürftigkeit.
Abstract
Although requiring nursing care is considered a technical term and is used in nursing practice and nursing science contexts, a theory that could explain and predict the phenomenon in a scientifically sound manner is lacking. Equating the need for nursing care with the symptoms that necessitate it either dilutes or misjudges the complex nature of such a situation. This study is concerned with basic research on the need for nursing care. Using the facet theory and multidimensional scaling, the author designs a structural hypothesis based on the expertise of nursing professionals and on theories from different disciplines. This produces robust results for the development of theories on the need for nursing care.
