Immanuel Kant (*1724) hat mit seiner Theorie der menschlichen Freiheit Epoche gemacht. Sie erschöpft sich nicht in den stark beachteten Einsichten zur Willensfreiheit und zur Sicherung politischer Freiheit durch das Recht, deren Aktualität sich in den Krisen unserer Gesellschaft erweist: In seiner radikalen Kritik der Vernunft macht Kant vielmehr Freiheit auch für das Erkennen, Wissen und Denken geltend, allem voran für den Gebrauch des eigenen Verstandes. Auch Kunst, Technik und das Ganze der Kultur sind für ihn „Hervorbringungen aus Freiheit“. Das Buch breitet den Prospekt dieser Theorie aus: In Kants Kritik der Vernunft dreht sich alles um die Formen der Freiheit, die ihr Autor in den Potentialen des Menschen erkennt.
Abstract
Immanuel Kant (*1724) made an epoch with his theory of human freedom. It is not limited to the highly regarded insights, the resilience of which has been proven in the current crises of our society: freedom of will and the safeguarding of political freedom through the law. In his radical critique of reason, Kant also asserts freedom for cognition, knowledge and thinking, above all for the use of one's own intellect. For him, art, technology and the whole of culture are also "products of freedom". The book condenses the prospectus of this theory into the following thesis: Kant's Critique of Reason is all about the forms of freedom that its author recognizes in the potential of human beings.
