Analogie bei Thomas von Aquin
Onto-epistemische, semantische und sprachlogische Probleme
Abstract
The concept of analogy, which today again comes into focus of contemporary debates, had been extensively and in manifold ways discussed in the Latin scholasticism. In this study, Aquinas’ use of this concept – against the background and in context of these discussions – is reconstructed in epistemological, ontological and logical-semantic terms. The explanation of the connection modes of this use in all three areas is at the heart of the present analytical study. The author explains step by step this connection using the key terms like similitudo, assimilatio, proportionalitatis, participatio and unitas.
Zusammenfassung
In der lateinischen Scholastik wurde besonders intensiv und auf mannigfaltige Weise die Analogie diskutiert, die heute erneut in den Fokus der Diskussionen gelangt. Hier wird Thomas von Aquins methodischer Ansatz eingehend rekonstruiert, in welchem erkenntnistheoretische, ontologische und logisch-semantische Ebenen miteinander eng verbunden sind. Die Erläuterung dieser Verbindungsweisen und des tieferen Zusammenhangs, den die Verwendung der Analogie in all diesen Bereichen aufweist, steht im Zentrum der vorliegenden Studie. Mithilfe der Schlüsselbegriffe similitudo, assimilatio, proportionalitatis, participatio und unitas wird diese Verbindung analytisch erläutert. Die Autorin Valentina Spune studierte in Riga (Universität Lettland), Tübingen und Köln Philosophie, Theologie, klassische Philologie und Kulturgeschichte und promovierte 2019 über Analogie bei Thomas von Aquin an der Universittät zu Köln. Seit 2019 beschäftigte sie sich mit Projekten zur der Philosophie der Scholastik und der Frühen Neuzeit. Sie ist als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Universität Lettland, Fakultät für Informatik, Laboratorium für die Erforschung der Perzeption und kognitiver Systeme, und als Gastwissenschaftlerin an der Universität Bonn, Kunsthistorisches Institut, tätig.
